Question: i had a root canal today- i got a question?
i had
my root canal done today-
thank God- no pain.
anyway- i didn't ask the doctor-but- when am i supposed to take out the cotton that is packed in there?
i don't go to get the crown on for another week.

DrMarvin.com Answer: Leave the cotton in. It may come out if the dentist/specialists did not put a temporary filling.
It should be filled with something pretty secure or else food will go in.
If you can't get into the dentist, the go ahead and go to wallgreens and get some temporary filling material (zinc oxide eugenol) and pack it in yourself and bite.
