I get this question all the time. You walk down the aisle at target and see the whole wall filled with toothbrushes. Which one do you pick? More importantly, how much time do you waste before finally picking one? I don't think it should take you that long to pick a toothbrush. Here's how
I sort out through the mess. 1. Color should not matter. See everything as black or white. That's a good start. 2. Rule out all toothbrushes that are not labeled soft or extra soft. 3. Purchase the one on sale or the cheapest one you can buy. 4. If some are packaged with 2 and you need an extra one for traveling or a backup, then get that one. Is this simple enough? Quite frankly, plaque is easy to remove and requires better technique, not better tools. The problem I see here is that toothbrush manufacturers give you medium and hard because you, the consumer, asks for them. Believe it or not, they will cause more harm than good, such as gum recession, sensitivity, and possible wear away your teeth. Remember, once your get your 32 adult teeth, it will cost you a lot of money to replace them... especially all at once.
